Chelsea Hotel: Ghosts of Bohemia
DOX Center for Contemporary Art, Prague
December 4, 2009 – March 29, 2010

We’re pleased to inform you of Michel Auder’s current participation in the group show “Chelsea Hotel: Ghosts of Bohemia”, which opened today at the DOX Center for Contemporary Art in Prague.

Devoted to the famous New York hotel, the show  highlights the American bohemian scene of the 1960s to which Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe, Harry Smith as well as Michel Auder belonged. The French artist lived for some time in the Chelsea hotel with his wife – Warhol actress Viva – and his works offer a subjective insider view onto the artist avantgarde scene that congregated in the hotel.
